Fissure-in-ano is a small tear or cut in the lining of the anus that causes sharp pain and bleeding during bowel movements. It’s one of the most common ano-rectal problems and often results from constipation, hard stools, or prolonged straining.

If ignored, fissures can become chronic, leading to severe pain and discomfort in daily life.

Fissures usually occur due to constipation, hard stools, or excessive straining during bowel movements.

Acute fissures may heal with proper diet and medication, but chronic fissures often need Ayurvedic or Panchakarma treatment.

In most cases, Ayurvedic therapies like Kshar Karma can effectively heal fissures without surgery.
